Join us for a special pop-up workshop with House of Hobby.
Spend a creative Sunday afternoon immersed in nature at our Pressed Pottery Workshop. Set amongst the gardens and open space of 11 Acre Farm, this hands-on experience invites you to slow down, get messy, and explore the art of hand-built ceramics with guidance from one of our ceramic experts.
In this relaxed and welcoming session, you will learn free-form pottery techniques to create unique mugs, snack boards, and bowls using your hands and imagination. You will also be shown how to press botanicals directly into the clay to create beautifully textured, nature-inspired pieces that are entirely your own.
Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned potter, there is plenty of time to experiment, create, and enjoy the process at your own pace.
This workshop is perfect for a creative catch-up with friends, a thoughtful date experience, or a chance to unwind and try something new. All skill levels are welcome.
House of Hobby Botanical Pressed Pottery Workshop
What’s Included
• All tools and materials, including clay and a selection of botanicals. You are welcome to bring along botanical items that are special to you.
• Firing and glazing for two finished pieces.
• Expert, hands-on instruction from our pottery expert.
• A grazing board to enjoy during the session.
• Prosecco on arrival and throughout the workshop. The bar will also be open during the session.

$150 per person
What to Bring
Clay is wonderfully messy. We recommend wearing clothes you do not mind getting dirty, or bringing an apron. Aprons will also be available at the workshop.
Important Information
After the workshop, your pieces will be bisque fired, clear glazed, and glaze fired before being ready for collection from 11 Acre Farm. Please allow approximately 6 to 8 weeks for firing and finishing.
If you create more than two items, additional pieces can be finished for a small kiln and glazing fee per item. Pricing depends on the size of your creations and can be arranged on the day.
Pottery can be a fun challenge, and not every piece will turn out exactly as expected. Our expert will guide you through each step of the process, and while ceramics can be unpredictable, we will do our best to help you create something you love. Occasionally, pieces may crack or break during firing, but rest assured we will support you in crafting a beautiful, functional final piece.
