Step into The Fieldhouse at 11 Acre Farm for a cozy winter workshop celebrating the humble olive. With a welcome drink in hand, you'll head out on a guided farm tour to explore our fruit forrest and learn to identify wild and cultivated olives. Then, return indoors to discover the traditional methods of olive curing — from brining and dry salt techniques to quick-cure tips you can replicate at home.
During this hands-on session, you'll also enjoy a guided tasting of premium olives and extra virgin olive oils, both local and imported. Learn how to pair different olive types with food, and what to look for in high-quality oil.
All guests will receive light farmhouse snacks, recipes with curing ratios and flavour ideas, and a take-home jar of your own marinated olives.
Optional add-ons include seasonal cheese and charcuterie boards, curated drinks packages (featuring spritzes, wines and non-alcoholic options) to enjoy during the session, and the option to extend your visit with a sit-down lunch at Cubby Cafe — all available to pre-order at checkout.
