Lessens with Peg
Peg Davies is a waste educator, speaker and long-time advocate for living with less waste. With over 17 years of experience working across local government, schools and communities, Peg is known for making waste education practical, engaging and surprisingly fun. Her guiding principle is simple: an empty bin is a good bin.
Peg has developed and delivered award-winning education programs, workshops and training initiatives, including the highly regarded Earth Carers course at Mindarie Regional Council. Her work has been widely recognised, with Costa from Gardening Australia describing her approach as “probably the best waste education you’re likely to get.”
Having lived in inner-suburban Perth for more than 40 years, Peg brings a deeply local and lived perspective to her work, explored through her ongoing project The Last Tip. Her sessions focus on ‘lessence’ – the essence of less – showing how small, thoughtful changes can create meaningful impact without being costly or overwhelming.
We are delighted to be running several workshops with Peg throughout the year at 11 Acre Farm.
